The Opening Round of the 2A-3 Jr. High District Basketball Tournament came to a close Wednesday evening at Buffalo Island Central. Day Two also witnessed all higher seeds advance to the semifinals.
In Junior Girls
#4 seed Cross County beat #5 seed Marmaduke, 28-26
#3 seed EPC beat #6 seed Bay, 52-41
In Junior Boys
#4 seed BIC beat #5 seed Bay, 39-36
#3 seed Riverside beat #6 seed Rector, 55-38
With the completion of the opening round, teams for the semi-final round on Thursday, February 8th are set. Semi-finals games are as follows:
Junior Girls
4:30 PM - #2 BIC vs. #3 EPC
7:00 PM - #1 Riverside vs. #4 Cross County
Junior Boys
5:45 PM - #2 EPC vs. #3 Riverside
8:15 PM - #1 Earle vs. #4 BIC
