The Buffalo Island Central boys golf team finished third at the 2A-3 District Golf Tournament on September 20th at Eagle Mountain Golf Course in Batesville, Arkansas.
The Mustangs posted a team score of 276, finishing just five strokes behind second place Palestine-Wheatley at 271. Cedar Ridge carded a 229 (+13) to win the 2A-3 District Tournament.
Andrew Hill led the way individually for the Mustangs shooting an 89, qualifying for the 2A Boys State Golf Tournament. Brayden Mullis turned in a 93 and Hank Hurst had the third best team score of a 94. Sypher Sherrod posted a 116 in his freshman debut as a first-time tournament participant.
Andrew Hill, the only state tournament qualifier for the Mustangs, will return to action on Wednesday, October 4th at 9:00 AM at the Eagle Mountain Golf Course in Batesville, Arkansas to play for the 2A Boys Golf State Tournament Championship as an individual.
