Buffalo Island Central is thrilled to announce the launch of its Esports program, tapping into the rapidly growing world of competitive gaming. With over 200 school teams registered across the state of Arkansas in recent years, Esports is experiencing exponential growth, and Buffalo Island Central is eager to provide students with an opportunity to join the action.
Esports isn't just a game; it's a chance for students to engage in something unique, especially those who might not typically participate in traditional sports, clubs, or activities. Beyond the thrill of competition, the program opens doors to educational opportunities. Across the country, 175+ collegiate Esports programs are already in place, offering scholarships to talented individuals. This offers BIC Esports players a pathway to education and potential careers in the ever-expanding technology field.
Eric Jackson has been tabbed to lead the Mustangs into their first season. Jackson brings a wealth of knowledge to the head coaching position. “I’m excited that we’re starting an Esports program,” said Jackson. “This program will offer additional opportunities for a wide variety of students to be more involved at school. I’m looking forward to building a strong foundation in this first year and fostering an environment that promotes healthy competition.”
To support the growth of the Esports program and provide valuable opportunities for student-athletes, BIC Esports players are participating in an, “In for 10” fundraiser. Each player will attempt to find 10 people interested in being, “In for $10.” This fundraiser will help cover the cost of player fees throughout the season. BIC also offers sponsorship opportunities that will not only promote your organization but also contribute to the success of the Esports initiative. The following sponsorship packages have been identified:
Livestream Presenting Sponsorship (One Available, $500):
- Large logo prominently displayed on the back of the team jerseys.
- Exclusive recognition as the Livestream Sponsor during Esports events.
- Includes recognition in the BIC Athletics “Champion Supporter” Tier level.
Title Sponsorship (Two Available, $300 each):

- Prominent recognition as a Title Sponsor for the Esports program.
GamerTag Sponsorship (Four Available, $200 each):

Buffalo Island Central invites local businesses and individuals to be a part of this exciting venture, contributing to the growth of Esports and the educational journey of students. The sponsorship letter can be found on the “Forms” section on the Esports page on the Mustangs Athletic Website. Together, we can champion a new era of competition and opportunities.
